After playing around at Pioneer Park in Brownsville we decided to head over to Sweet Home and go to the Riverbend Campground. We asked the campground host if we could use the pavilion; he told us that was fine because no one was renting it at the time and as long as we cleaned up after. We built a small fire and roasted hotdogs for lunch. On our Saturday outings we usually pack hotdogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, beans and chips.
The sun shining through.
This is only half of the pavilion.
Dad building our fire.
Our nice warm fire. The kids roasting hot dogs. (Sorry for the fuzzy picture; they don’t like to sit still).
Shelby dishing up her plate of food.
Chris being goofy.
Dominick and I took the trail behind the Pavilion.
Dominick wanted to go check out the water. Don’t worry he knows he’s not allowed to get in or get to close.
The dogs were no way going to go down there with him.
This trail heads up to the parking lot and campsites.
We had a really nice day being able to explore a new park and visiting a regular campground. We love to get outdoors and we hope that you do too.
