Chip Ross Park in Corvallis, Oregon (Until We Meet Again)

Once again we have showed up for a hike unprepared for the weather. When we pulled into the parking lot it was hailing pretty well. We sat in the car for along time debating weather to get out and get soaked only to be uncomfortable sitting in the car on the long drive home or just go home. In between the hail breaks Shelby ran out to take these pictures. Next time we will be more prepared and be able to enjoy this short mile hike as well as the views that were blocked from the clouds. It looks like a pleasant place for wildlife and bird viewing. One of these days I’ll have to invest in a good bird book.

From just the parking lot we were able to view 3 picnic tables; one which was covered.

It looks to be a short 1.5 mile

Well sitting in the parking lot we decided to check out another park here in Corvallis since we were in town and not yet ready to go home. Our next stop is Jackson Frazier Wetlands.

RV Searching

Come hang out with us as we show you a few out of hundreds of RVs we went to go see with my aunt and uncle at an RV show in Eugene, OR.

Class C #1

I really like that the tv is not in the above the cab bunk area. I would be afraid that it would get broken quickly. Also were the tv is above the table you can pretty much see it from anywhere. I like the storage under the seats. However I really wish that the table was a fold up one so it could be taken outside when needed as well as used for a bed. (I’ve seen one in a couple RVs and I really liked the idea.)

I like the length of the couch and the storage under it as well. We do like the bed above the cab because the bed never has to be made it you don’t have the time.
Behind the couch it has a shelf (the length of the couch) with 2 cupholders. Under that shelf is a storage box the length of the couch as well. (I liked the storage however I wouldn’t put anything in that you would want all the time because the couch needs to be laid down in order to get to anything.)
I don’t mind the close corridor but it does bother some. I would put the dog beds in the floor. I really like that it doesn’t have carpet.
I am not sure if I like the corner sink but I do like the counter in the back for the insta pot, Vita mixer and coffee maker. I don’t like that the only usable space for preparing food is the table. However it would work.
We do like the bunk beds however not much privacy for teens.
We did like the storage in the bedroom and the side tables next to the bed. Each one had at least one drawer and a little space. Some that we’ve seen only gets one side table or none.
Me personally didn’t like the shower because I like to have a curtain but that’s my opinion. Also their is no place for a cat box.

It has a big window.
There storage is great.
It has USB ports as well as lots of plug-in all over.

It even has storage above the door.

Class C #2

We absolutely love the table and couch in this one. The table has so much room. Still would like it to be foldable but we can’t get it all. (Sorry for the blurriness.)
The kitchen is great except it has little counter space and a circle sink. Who likes a circle sink? Love the storage though.

Class A #1

Really comfortable and has a lot of seating area.
You can’t see much but the counter top is long. ( Great for preparing food). I want impressed with the tv being so far away however it wouldn’t be used much.

This bathroom had the most storage and room.
The colors are not our taste.
The bedroom had a full bathroom (it had a half bath in the main area). It would be nice to have a bath and a half. Again the storage is great. (Sorry for the blurriness).

Class A #2

I love the roominess and colors of this one. It’s the exact floorplan as the class c #1.

We’ve gone back and forth on what would be best. Thinking about the size, the room, and storage in mind. We all have our favorite things and dislikes.

Space for everyone

Room for a cat box

Storage inside and out

A big couch across from the table

A bath and a half

Counter space

USB ports

Side tables

Foldable table

Some colors

Tv in bunk area

What are your thoughts? Do you like a certain class over the other? Or do you prefer a trailer? Do you look at some of the colors of some and wander what on Earth they were thinking when they designed them? What are must haves and not much care to you?

Life Is Short

Right now I am sitting here in an er room waiting for lab work on my dad. He had another heart attack and I think about all the things that I have been missing out on because I am a workaholic. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t want to be at work but I put so much of myself into what I do. I like to fill like I’ve accomplished a lot so I and others would be proud. One of my biggest goals is to put my family 1st. Find the perfect balance. Why do we take time for granted? We all have the same amount of time but are we trying using to our advantage of are we wasting it?

This is one of my favorite songs from Gary Allan.

I need to learn from my mistakes and do the best with my time. If you have any advice please let me know. Thank you.

Well today is Christmas. This Christmas was very hard not just money wise but trying to decide what to get the family when you want to be on the road full time and you have to think about room and weight in a trailer. We had to think about items that are useful yet fun. We each got a blanket from a friend. Shelby got a sweater, cat coat, PJs, hat, gloves and scarf. Dominick got a tiny rubix cube, dog bike carrier, Leatherman, hydro pack, fish frog and bait. Chris got a hat, rechargable light for the trailer, insta pot inverter, and pan for the insta pot. Dad got a hat, side table for a chair, and a magnet. I got a hydro pack, side table for a chair, PJs, and a blanket. The dogs each got a sweater and dog bed. The cat got a coat and a bed. (A couple items came from friends).

We were very grateful that our kids didn’t even want anything for Christmas. Our family would rather travel and having time together rather than material items. They spent there own money on gifts for each other. I used to be on the border of a hoarder but then as my kids keep getting older I realized that time with my family is the most important thing to me. I’ve been giving away things that aren’t useful and have no meaning to me anymore. There are other people in this world that could use what we have and I would rather give it away. More and more before we buy anything we decide if we really need it. We are still trying to reach our goal of traveling with our kids and we pray that this coming year will be the year. If you have any suggestions or this please let me know.

River Bend Campground in Sweet Home, Oregon

Went for a quick weekend trip camping to the River Bend Campground. It was a really relaxing weekend. Much needed after a really long work week.
Chris got to try out his new hammock from Madera.
My whole goal for the weekend was to write for my blog. I am so proud that I got a lot done; just wish that there was WiFi service. We’ll need to get a hot spot.
The kids rode there bikes in between the rain. We were hoping for really nice weather but we can’t always be that lucky.

Even dad and the dogs all went for a walk before the next rain.
River Bend Campground is one of our favorite campgrounds because almost every spot is spaced out really nicely. There’s lots of privacy.

Dad trying out Dave’s hot pickles. He thought that they were hot; I didn’t taste any hotness. We loved them though.

Dad got to try Cheeto jalapeno chips. Everyone loved those as well. One of my favorites.

Even Shelby loved the Cheetos. She doesn’t like hot stuff but she loved these.
We kept getting closer and closer to the fire because the rain kept sliding down the canopy down our backs. Chris put pool noodles on each corner to it help with some of the rain .
With the rain came a beautiful rainbow beyond the trees.

I hate leaving day. It always helps me try to push myself to work harder and try to find away to go full time but always sad to leave.
Dominick photo bombing me.

If we brought tents our campsite had a great area for a tent to hide in the trees. Would be a great playing area as well.

So grateful that the rain held out well we packed up. It always seems to bring out the worst when you try to pack in the rain.
Please be thoughtful for the next person and your camp host by making sure that you leave your area nicer than when you arrived.

There happened to be a short simple pathway leading to Dad’s campsite.

Across the drive is one of a couple of fields from in the campground. The campground has so much to offer; hot showers, restrooms, fields, playground, volleyball net, cabins, dump station, picnic area, and shelters.

Recommended Products

We love these products and we hope that you will to. (If you click on image it will take you to the link).

Dominick recommended this because he loves anything to do with Bigfoot.
We love these because you can charge your phone as well as store it up on a wall. My dad loves it because on rainy days in the trailer he can watch YouTube videos and not have to hold his phone because it’s see through.
These are great because I hated always picking up cords. Great invention.
We have the single one but I would love to have the double so we can change in a dry area after a shower. They are also great for outhouses.
When you need to wash clothes plus need a little exercise.
Love to shower off when dry camping.
Dominick’s favorite decal.
We love these to save storage in the trailer.
We use these for the dogs food and water. Great for hiking, the cars, trailer, anywhere. We have lots of these.
We like the dogs to be as warm as us. They don’t have much fur so they get cold easily. They are also wind and waterproof.
It’s always good to have an extra one for hiking.

One of our favorites because of the pockets.

We have many more recommended items to share with you.

Do you have any thing that you would recommend?
