Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon

We took off to Newport, Oregon today to get out of the house and away from the stresses at home. Newport has always been one of those places to be able to unwind and clear your head. There’s so much to do at Yaquina Head Lighthouse. They have an interpreter center, gift shop, a few trails to hike, the lighthouse keepers have tours if you reserve a spot, plus there are two different areas to get down to the beach. One of the beaches is handicap accessible (get a gate key at the entrance). We were able to see a few whales well we were there. At the interpreter center they have lots of activities and games for kids off all ages. Plus if you have a beach stamp pass they will stamp it for you at the desk. We always date ours and put names of friends or family that went with us.
